With heavy rain and site delays, we knew completing this iPic Theaters project was going to be a challenge from the start—but as they say, the show must go on. The venue already had signed a contract to premiere a movie only days after the anticipated completion date, so getting everything in place prior to opening—inside and out—was essential. After finishing the decadent details of the interior, we were all set to begin moving the theater materials in. That’s when we discovered our largest obstacle—some of the pieces were too large to move into the building through standard practices.
Four weeks lost to weather, we were under the wire trying to complete this project on time—it put all of Gallant’s values to the test. With lifts and lulls, some heavy lifting and a little finesse, we hoisted all materials 25+ feet overhead and onto the second floor of the building. It was hard work, but thanks to the efforts of our team, the theater was ready for the public before the event. Out of the twelve contractors iPic Theaters had worked with, Gallant was the first to finish on time.
The fruits of our labor were a completed movie theater, a thrilled client and a premiere filled with happy guests. With the project completed on time, iPic Theater was able to host the red carpet event for the movie opening as planned—while those in attendance were able to enjoy the full experience in the elegant new space.
