It’s the middle of the night in Manchester, Missouri, and all is quiet until a little old lady confuses the gas pedal with the brake and crashes through Ulta’s storefront window. Luckily, the woman was fine, but the window wasn’t quite so lucky. The frame was shattered, a cabinet was smashed and there was a 10 foot by 10 foot hole in the middle of the window. Gallant received the distress call in the middle of the night. Our project manager leapt into action—only to discover that her on-call computer was malfunctioning.
The project manager hopped in her car and made her way to the office. While in route, she started calling local board-up companies. By the time she reached the office she had found a subcontractor, who arrived at the scene 10 minutes later, ready to work.
The accident was cleaned and boarded up within 30 minutes of the subcontractor’s arrival. We then worked with Ulta to install a new storefront window. Gallant special-ordered glass, framing and a new cabinet for the store. The supplier said the order would arrive in six to eight weeks. Not good enough—we negotiated for it to be delivered in four.
Ulta’s storefront is as good as new, and they know they have a partner they can trust should another emergency arise.
